Going home for Christmas

Tomorrow I'm going back to Stockholm, to spend Christmas with my mother and New Year with my friends. BLISS. But before that, me and my Malmö-friends are going to see TRON. You jealous? Yes, you are.
(we even prepared ourselves last week by seeing the first Tron movie from the 80ies, we're so cool).

OLD vs. NEW

Gosh, the nerdery. ANYWAY.

Have a comic. About comfort. With hobos. ALL YOU WISH FOR (exept any actual plot).

...and that's how it ends. Uh.

So anyway, Merry Christmas!
See you again in 2011♥

Great weekend

I haven't been able to change clothes in 3 days, but damn, this weekend has been so awesome I don't even care.
Me and some friends was at a friend's place (Lotty, Robot and/at Doraya(s)♥), eating a huge amount of sweets, and watching one of the best animes there is.

KAIJI.

It's a great story about a man with a huge debt, and how he tries to get rid of it by gambling (quite dangerous and dishonest gambling too). Great story.

Sadly, some people don't even bother to try watching it, much because of the non-typical (for anime) way it's drawn, but to those people I can only say this:

SO THEY HAVE NOSES THAT CAN KILL
CAN'T HANDLE IT?
CAN'T HANDLE NOSES ABLE TO KILL
NO?
NOO
THEN SCRAM. GET OUT.
YOU'RE NOT WORTHY OF THE NOSES.
JUST SCRAAAAAM!

...ha ha, okay, no, but in all honesty, it's cool. Watch it♥

Back to uncool stuff, like the comics I make.
Early this semestre, we were supposed to talk to a classmate, tell them a family story, get a story told  to us, and then plan/draw a comic about said story. Mine was about this one Danish brother that may, or may not have looked like and done this:

Tasteful sense of humour? I'm working on it (lies).
Until then (forever) this is what you get♥

After J-popcon

Whoo, so many things happened last week! At least comic-wise.

I killed my hand while inking a 6-paged comic for our class-fanzine "The couch" (that was later sold at AltCom, an "alternative" comic convention is Malmö).

When I finished the couch-comic it was 3 o clock, night, and no buses were going. Hah, nice 40-minutes walk home. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. Didn't make me over-paranoid at all. Or cold as heck.
(but it was refreshing, if anything!)

Next day I had to finish some strips for another deadline. Have one in Swedish:

It's called "Sugar-high" and is practically about these two guys (named Ponytail and Darling by a friend) being ridiculously high on brownies (that looks like muffins) from Amsterdam. All strips we produced in class were sent to a paper, and hopefully, mine won't get picked (I'm thinking about the children here, the children!). But I still like them, and will surely upload the strips somewhere (I'm even doing a collaboration-comic with Lotty a bout them for a school-project, that's how much I like them!).

And finally, the reason I wasn't at AltCom was because I was at J-popCon in Denmark instead! There I sold some prints, sticker-commissions and even copies of my first silly fanzine!

I don't know what I was thinking, though I guess I wanted something to sell, so I just threw 3 comics together, made a cover page in half an hour and WHOAH! FANZINE! Made 10 copies, screwed up one, took 9 with me, sold 5. One person came back to tell me she liked it. I DIE HAPPY NOAW♥

And even if I didn't earn the sum I spent on the con, it was still fun. Met a lot of people, if anything!
Also, ending this post here, since it's already getting out of hand. Will try to not take so long until next post, so this won't happen again.
Cheers♥

That famous very first post

I kept hearing how nowadays, artist will make it nowhere without a blog. Therefore I decided to create one!

...well, that was several weeks ago, and I suddenly realised that just having a blog in existence may not gain you instant fame. Life's just have to be too complicated. Hence, here I am again, writing this very first post. You have to start somewhere after all, instant fame probably comes right after that.

Currently, I'm 19 years old, single, unemployed (well technically, I have a job, but it's mission-based, and I just can't seem to get any missions...), but what's most interesting right now is that I study Comics at Serieskolan in Malmö. This past couple of months have  honestly been my greatest educational experience of all time.

Of all TIME.

It's a great oppurtunity for me as an cartoonist, as well as incredibly, wonderfully and awesomely fun. Yes, all those kind of fun, maybe even more. The point is, at comic school, we get to draw comics (no, seriously!), and around last month was the international 24 hour comic day, as some of you may know. And what's a better way to start a comic-blog than by actually showing you a comic? I may as well.

This is the first page in my 24 hour comic, wich can be found on Smackjeeves, of all places. It's a silly adventure about my silly characters and silly, mutated ghosts. But I warn you, brains get wierd when forced to produce comics for 24 h, so don't expect anything at all fantastic. Also, I only inked the first two pages (because I'm slow, that's why!) so most of the comic is messy and hard to read.

Now, since you have been warned, you may as well (try to) enjoy it.
